Vintage Indian Kantha Bengali Throw / Bedcover (Kantha 24)
Each of our one-of-a-kind Kantha quilts have been hand-stitched by craftswomen in rural India using traditional methods iconic to the region. These unique and beautiful throws are fully reversible and handmade using layers of vintage Sari fabric quilted together with thousands of small stitches.
They are a kaleidoscopic of muted hues and designs that make them resemble a patchwork. Each quilt is unique and hand chosen by Rachel to bring a touch of colour, texture and comfort to any room in your home. They pair beautifully with our Camilla, or Montauk bedspreads as well as our hand block printed linen cushion collection.
Beautifully versatile, these vintage quilts can be used as throws, bedspreads, wall hangings, tablecloths, ... the opportunities are endless...

CARE: We recommend either dry cleaning or hand wash / gentle machine wash cold with mild detergent ; air-dry and/or steam iron. Do not soak or bleach.

The Block Printing Process
The traditional process of hand block printing on textiles has been practiced in Rajasthan for around 500 years. A print starts with the design, drawn on paper and meticulously carved by hand into the wooden blocks by skilled artisans.
