Rachel Elizabeth Interiors takes great pride in creating spaces that reflect the unique stories and passions of their clients. In a recent project, we had the privilege of transforming a kitchen, dining room, and lounge area into a harmonious sanctuary that beautifully incorporates a remarkable collection of Aboriginal artworks. Drawing inspiration from this collection, Rachel Elizabeth Interiors carefully selected materials, colours, and finishes to create a cohesive and visually striking design. The result is a seamless fusion of cultural expression, natural beauty, and refined design.
The kitchen serves as the heart of the home and the centrepiece of this project. Rachel Elizabeth Interiors selected Corian benchtops for their durability and timeless elegance. The Corian benchtops provide a sleek and sophisticated canvas that beautifully complements the vibrant colours of the Indigenous artwork. The Laminex cabinetry in Moroccan Clay, Porcelain Blush, and Aged Ash, adds depth and visual interest, harmonising with the colour palette of the artwork and creating a cohesive and striking design.
To enhance visual impact, Brazilian ceramic tiles were chosen for the kitchen splashback. These tiles, carefully sourced for their finish, add texture and dimension to the space. The tiles not only provide a stunning backdrop but also serve as a complementary canvas which allows the vibrant colours to shine.
The seamless integration of the owners' extensive collection of artworks is the focal point of this project. Each piece of art serves as a guiding inspiration for the selection of materials, colours, and finishes throughout the space.
To further enhance the connection to nature, Rachel Elizabeth Interiors thoughtfully incorporates natural elements. In the lounge room, a jute rug adds warmth and texture, creating a cosy and inviting atmosphere. Indigenous fabric transformed into cushions brings a sense of tradition and craftsmanship, perfectly complementing the artwork. A sisal stair runner adds a touch of natural elegance, seamlessly connecting different areas of the home while introducing organic textures into the design.
The wallpaper in the hallway niche is a captivating backdrop to showcase the artwork. The wallpaper, selected to complement the colour palette and enhance the artistic ambiance, adds depth, texture, and visual interest.
